Pirates: Screen Time Control ("Pirates", "we") is an iOS app developed by John Jang. Contact: hellojohnjang@gmail.com.
None. Pirates requires no account and collects no personal information. We operate no servers and receive no data from your device.
Pirates uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity) to let you block apps you choose and unblock them when you earn screen time. The apps you select are represented by opaque tokens that Apple's frameworks manage โ Pirates cannot read the names or contents of the apps you select, and this information is processed entirely on your device. It is never transmitted anywhere.
Your gold balance, quests, streaks, focus history, and settings are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple account. We never see your payment details. See Apple's privacy policy for how Apple handles payment data.
All notifications are scheduled locally on your device. We do not use push notification servers.
If you choose to use "Tell us your feedback" in Settings, your feedback is submitted to UserJot, a third-party feedback service, together with a random anonymous identifier (not linked to your identity). Any information you type into the feedback form is visible to us and governed by UserJot's privacy policy. Using feedback is entirely optional.
Pirates does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app collects no personal information from any user.
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
